LocalTek worked with the Farmington city officials to migrate an extensive content rich website that had been used for the past years and move it into a website that is easy to use, and based on the most widely deployed content management system on the web to allow the city to easily add and update pages on the website. By basing the website on a widely deployed content management system, that is supported by thousands of programmers around the world, the city can be more efficient and provide information to the residents in a timely manner. LocalTek will also be launching an upgraded social media presence on Facebook for the city by providing a landing page for their Facebook page which the city uses extensively for communicating with the residents of Farmington. LocalTek is pleased to announce a great new customer, Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce. As a very active local Chamber of Commerce the leaders were interested in offering a website that provided users the ability to take advantage of social and mobile media as web trends show that people are increasingly using Facebook and their mobile phones to access local business information. The site features text message integration to allow for interested parties to receive messages about events and new members or promotions. Also, based on mobile internet usage the site also features an easy to use mobile version of the website that loads faster on mobile devices. At the same time the Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce wanted to ability to increase their revenue sources by taking advantage of online advertising and featured listings on their website. LocalTek was able to integrate this functionality into the core of the industry leading content management system that was chosen to for the base of the website. Based on this the BTCC will be able to offer new ways to promote local Bonne Terre Business. LocalTek provided Botkin Lumber with a non-proprietary content management system that has been tested around the world on millions of websites. LocalTek has relationships with leading suppliers of widely deployed software for web development and can provide customers with a system they can be sure has been tested before delivery rather than the in-house, minimally deployed systems that smaller web development companies that are not familiar with the shift happening on the web today towards more open and search engine friendly website management tools. LocalTek has launched our latest customer site, Harris Care Centers in Farmington, MO. The customer needed a web presence that allowed them to easily give information on their many residential care facilities. We worked with the customer on their requirements and their online marketing needs. The customer is now integrating a social media marketing package as well and will be working on using Facebook to keep the families and interested parties of those who are living within the facilities frequently updated with the latest new and information at all care centers.
